Wire Name Gift Tags

I designed these using the tag from the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge from Cricut and bending flexible wire into names to personalize. Laney jolee was done with a single strand of wire, the others were a double strand which adds more stability to this lightweight wire. I also like adding a little flower motif and a bead at the center of the flower.

To attach the name to the tag I make two holes close to each other at strategic areas (like where letters loop) to secure it through the top tag only (a push pin on an old mouse pad works well) and then I tape the wire down on the back to flatten it and then glue the top tag to the back tag.

  1. The wire names are amazing! How did you do that?! They are all so perfect and precise. Whenever I pick up wire, it gets all kinked and looks very unprofessional. You should seriously sell those or teach a class on wire designing. :)

  2. Thanks! The wire is softer than most, so it's easier to work with. It's used for fly fishing and comes in a variety of colors. I do write out the names to have a template to follow.

Also the first three names, I double the wire and twisted it to give it more stability...just thought it was a fun way to personalize a gift!

    Thanks for visiting my blog!
